  • Initial (first) appointments are comprehensive to allow for thorough case-taking so that we may get a full understanding of your health history and the state of your wellbeing at the current time, as well as a clear focus on the areas you wish to improve.

  • Please feel free to bring with you any medications, supplements, blood test results or medical reports that are relevant.

  • Some testing may be done in the clinic or recommended.

  • A treatment plan is developed with you to most efficiently address your health concerns in a manner which suits you.

  • I may prescribe herbal medicines from my dispensary, which are mixed and blended for each individual.

  • I may also recommend nutritional supplements if there is a need, and almost always make nutritional recommendations in regards to ways of eating which may be beneficial.

  • Some lifestyle changes may be recommended also.

  • After the first appointment, it is very individual as to how soon or how often you may need or wish to come back to fine tune treatments and assess progress. Some people come back once and others come back monthly for a few months. Some people just need a few tweaks to set them on their course, while others need regular support over months or years.

FAQs

Do you offer online appointments?

Yes I can do appointments by Zoom or other online platforms at your request. If you can’t see a suitable time free for your appointment, I often have additional spaces free for online appointments, just get in touch.

will i have to take everything you prescribe?

No. It is always up to you. The treatment plan we develop is collaborative, so we will decide together what are the right supplements or herbal prescriptions. I will always accommodate your budget, and don’t ever want things to feel overwhelming or unsustainable.

Yes. Holistic healthcare is about the best treatments for you, whether they are conventional medicines or natural supplements. I will always check interactions with your medications to make sure none of the herbs or supplements I recommend will have any negative effect alongside your medications.

will i have to change my diet?

You can change your diet as much or as little as you want to. We will always work together to move at the right pace for you. Most people are ready for some kind of change - some want small sustainable changes, while 0thers may want a radical overhaul!

what kinds of testing do you use?

I always like to incorporate the information from any testing you’ve already had done, and what may be available through you GP. Sometimes other testing is warranted, and there are many functional medicine tests available that I utilise as appropriate. Read here for more on the tests available.

Do you offer student/ reduced income rates?

Yes. On the booking link you’ll see a lower rate appointment is available for students, teenagers, seniors, and those on a reduced income.
